Hyundai Motor Company resumes some plants - mass media
The South Korean automobile manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company intends to resume operation of some production lines at the Asan plant and the fourth plant in Ulsan on February 12. This is reported by KBS with reference to representatives of the company. According to them, on February 11, the company resumed operation of the second plant in Ulsan, where the Hyundai Genesis GV 80 and Hyundai Palisade are produced, as well as the plant in Hwason, where the KIA K5 and KIA Sorento are produced. The company notes that despite the supply of components from Southeast Asia and the resumption of South Korean suppliers in China, they are not enough to fully restore all plants. It is known that SsangYong Motor, which suspended production on February 4, will reopen the doors of the plant in Pyeongthek on February 13, and Renault Samsung Motors will resume operations on February 17. Recall that the coronavirus epidemic 2019- nCoV in China caused severe supply disruptions, which turned out to be critical for South Korean automakers.
